Estate Planning Opportunities under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act
March 27, 2018
Course Description: Estate planning after the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017 has been transformed. Large temporary estate tax exemptions, large standard deductions, SALT limitations, and more will make estate planning more focused on a variety of income tax planning issues, not merely the basis step-up concerns that have been the subject of discussion. Clients will need and want trusts that they can use to secure the large temporary exceptions, gain income tax benefits and also access assets. This will change the nature of how trusts are planned and drafted. What should clients do with existing trusts and plans? This webinar will explore a wide array of practical planning ideas practitioners can use to thrive in the new environment. There are no professional advancement credits (CPE, CLE, etc.) offered for viewing this webinar. Sponsor: Alaska Estate Planning Council and the American Brain Foundation
